Everything across the board with this company has been great. I received 2 light sockets that oddly enough - neither worked. They replaced them without question within days and didn't even ask for me to send the non-functioning ones back. Customer service - on point, every question I came across got a prompt precise reply, and I had some questions, believe me! Thanks for all your help Midwest! Your a tribute to our community

"Moldwest Grow Kits"
Kinda weird how grain bags from Etsy vendors with good reviews never get contamination but almost every single Moldwest grain bag I've gotten arrives with VISIBLE contamination or gets contamination within less than a week. They sent me a replacement for the visible contamination but have ignored me when I told them the replacements had contamination in them too. Horrible quality control. Do better

"Do not purchase any goods from Midwest Grow Kits."
Purchased a simple grow kit, everything arrived as described on 11/23. Jars were inoculated 11/25. Now, three and a half weeks later only a single jar has spawned and the rest show no signs of growth. On the contrary, the other 5 jars are observably drying out on the bottom and top. I reached out to their support email 2 days ago and have yet to receive a response. Per their Contact Us page, "We try our best to answer emails as fast as we can. Quick questions usually are answered within hours and longer complex or technical emails may take a day or two." Today I attempted to chat their customer service team. I was connected with Brian, explained the situation, Brian told me to just re-inoculate the jars and blamed the faulty jars on my spore source.. In the middle of me typing my response with a question, Brian disconnected the chat and the chat feature is no longer available on their site. The customer service has been embarrassingly bad. I will be contacting my bank to report bad service/services not rendered if my follow up email is also ignored. Steer away from this company.

ordered agar took a week. They say next day they ship your order if its in stock this is simply not true when they also state they pour agar fresh everyday. these people need to keep their lies straight. lol i will never go to these ppl again I will trust amazon before I give them another dime.

My experience with Midwest Grow Kits and Organics has been amazing. From my multiple online orders with them, to the time I visited them in person, they have been a joy to deal with and have worked with me on any issues I have ever had. They also stayed late for me on a time where I was visiting to pickup in store and had their warehouse staff help me after hours.
In addition, they have been responsive and quickly responded to any questions that I had.
I would highly recommend them for anyone on a mycology journey. Prices are decent. Service is awesome and their facility was fantastic to see too. Highly impressed.

The casing bags worked well in the garden and I've never had any issue. Delivery works well with about 1-1.5 week lead time, which is a lot better than other locations that I've tried.

Deluxe Spawn kit = Huge Flushes -- First timer here. I bought this kit in december. I inoculated my grain bags on Dec 29th, and harvested my first flush ever on 3/4, 3/5. It was a HUUUUGE flush of B+. I followed the directions as closely as I could. At times I was confused by the different directions on some of the literature MGK provides but they responded to all my emails promptly. I realized really late that I was missing the water bottle, but a minor detail if u ask me. I love this kit, beautiful grain bags and subs, zero contam, high RH and consistent temps. Even if I dont get a second, 3rd flush, this first flush was more than satisfying. I highly recommend this kit, specially to beginners like myself. Thanx, MGK!

"Very low quality"
Prices were fair and shipping was fast for the grow kit I ordered. Was really happy at first but after a couple of months the timer stopped working right and after a little over six months the heater stopped working. Now I have to buy replacements. Extremely low quality products- would not recommend

Midwest Grow Kits consistently produces low-quality and overpriced products. If you would like to be connected with better brands that charge far less, write our volunteer team: team [at] baystatersnm.com. But even worse, this company lies about their processing and shipping times which costs our volunteer mycology event hundreds of dollars. They then refuse to issue a refund after admitting that their processing times were much slower than what they advertise. Extremely dishonest people

"Just placed my 5th order from Mid West"
Just placed my 5th order from Mid West. I always receive my orders promptly and the quality and prices are excellent. Example: I had 2 unused spawn bags sitting around for 9 months (room temp). They suggest much less time. The bags still performed great, no mildew or mold-no problem!
